Full Blood Moon Entertainment announces distribution deal with Film Marketing Services in Los Angeles for their Indigenous Gothic Horror Film “Bohemian Blood”

Poster ArtThe Four Horsemen of Full Blood Moon Entertainment Inc.(FBM) Gerald Auger, Cam White, Cam Belseth and Michael Bourree, are pleased to announce the completion of their production of the Indigenous Gothic Horror Short Film Bohemian Blood. The Film is lead by the acting of Indigenous Co-writer/Lead, Gerald Auger (Pawnee Killer from Hell on Wheels) alongside Actor/Writer/Director Cam White, who makes his international directorial debut on this no-budget, high demand film.

Filmed in Grande Prairie, Alberta with local cast and crew, what started as a 48hr Film Challenge blew up into something much bigger than anyone could have imagined. Spawning a new film genre (Indigenous Gothic Horror) European and Indigenous Worlds collide in this long awaited counter to the typical clash on film and allow the audience to see an Indigenous person in a horror movie lead role, breaking stereotypes.

Bohemian Blood has signed a world-wide distribution deal with Film Marketing Services out of Los Angeles and within two months has already been accepted into film festivals in; Culver City, CA, Silicon Valley, CA, Marina Del Ray, CA and New York City. Reps were present at the Sundance Film Festival market and will also make an appearance at the Berlin Film Festival Market later this year.

Bohemian Blood, tries to touch on many social issues while forcing the audience to interpret subtle hints of the underlying cultural themes.  The story is about Indigenous Gothic Spiritual leader, The Bohemian Blood Master, who helps his women take back control of their lives by having them deal out punishment to the men who hurt them, and filling the Canvas’ with blood.

‘People are ready for a change and Full Blood Moon Entertainment is going to give it to them’  Actor/Writer/Director Cam White of Bohemian Blood and CEO of FBM.

Yhd7ArJszTm5RLGWjM8Npu8Auds-PtR3q0FOS46cVYEFull Blood Moon Entertainment
Full Blood Moon Entertainment (FBM) is a diverse multi-platform company rapidly spreading the concept of Indigenous Gothic Horror, through film, television and new media.  Actor/Writer/Producer/Director Gerald Auger (Hell on Wheels, Strange Empire, Into The West), is the President of FBM and driving force behind it all.  He is supported by company partners (The Four Horsemen) Cam White, Cam Belseth and Michael Bourree.  White is the Companies CEO and Writer/Director while Darkmass Productions owner Cam Belseth leads FBM’s technical team as head of production, and Michael Bourree is Editor and Chief of Post Production.  FBM wants to spread the message of unification to all races and people through an unorthodox means of transportation, Horror Films. This contradiction and the Indigenous gothic spirit of Gerald Auger has caught the public’s interest and intrigue.

Indigenous Gothic Horror Genre, What Is It?
Indigenous Gothic Horror (IGH) is a new genre of horror movie that combines the European and Indigenous worldview through film, television and fashion. It is a form of ancient storytelling that has been passed down through the ages through oral teachings and stories. IGH maintains the authenticity of the Indigenous culture, language and way of life and respects and honours the Ancestry of the Indigenous People of the world. Combining dark colours with land based elements, Indigenous Gothic Horror is considered storytelling with a spiritual twist, and is rapidly gaining momentum and recognition in film, TV, fashion, and other new media worlds.

‘This world is ready for an Indigenous leader/actor in film to be more than Hollywood’s typical John Wayne version of an Indian on a horse wearing buckskin with a feather in his hair. All races of man need to be represented equally in film, television and new media in order to debunk and break stereotypes created by the Western World. We are on the cusp of global change and a collective consciousness of unity, healing and love’ Gerald Auger, President of Full Blood Moon Entertainment and the Bohemian Blood Master in Bohemian Blood.

The short film is the calling card Film for Full Blood Moon Entertainment who plan to corner the new niche market of Indigenous Goth.  FBM currently has multiple film projects at various stages of development and the script for Bohemian Blood is currently getting finalized with plans to be ready for the markets by Spring.

Gerald Auger and Cam White are available for interviews upon request and can be reached at fullbloodmoonentertainment@gmail.com

International Artist Lisa Berry joins the cast of Continuum for their 4th and final season

IMG_2506Lisa was recently nominated for Best Actress at the Black Canadian Awards in Toronto and received a best ensemble Dora Mavor Moore Award nomination (Canada’s Tony) for her work in Young People’s Theatre production of To Kill A Mockingbird.

Dynamic actor Lisa Berry is thrilled to join the cast of Showcase’s Continuum for their 4th and final season. Lisa’s character is a quick thinker, practical soldier and tough chick. Her character commands the respect of the group. Continuum’s final season premieres on September 4 on Showcase in Canada and on September 11 on Syfy in the USA.

Lisa Berry is an international artist whose work stretches across the big screen and the stage. Her comedic talents can be seen in her guest-starring role on the very funny Mr. D (CBC) as the school’s star basketball player’s mother, Kathy Lee Giffer.  Lisa also displayed her comedic talents in the recently released feature film “No Stranger than Love” starring alongside Alison Brie as one of her busy body best friends, who has an opinion about everything and everyone.

This Christmas, watch for Lisa in the Hallmark TV Movie Northpole 2 starring opposite Lorie Loughlin as the fast talking, holiday hating CEO, with only making money on the brain.

Earlier this year, Lisa joined the cast of Bravo’s hit cop drama 19-2 in their second season as Rita George, a tough but loveable Jamaican immigrant who brings compassion and balance to her boyfriend’s mischievous ways.

Lisa is quickly finding a home for herself in the horror genre with films like Saw V, Antiviral (directed by Brandon Cronenberg) and The Colony, (starring alongside Laurence Fishburne, Kevin Zegers and Bill Paxton)

Lisa’s most recognizable roles on television include Stella Marz, a district attorney on a mission for justice (starring opposite Dermot Mulroney) on TNT’s Silent Witness, Det. Roz Cabrera on CBC’s Cracked, Serena a flame throwing fae on SyFy’s Lost Girl and playing an assassin for hire alongside Stuart Townsend on Showcase’s XIII The Series.

Lisa’s training at The Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts has allowed her to enjoy the challenges that each new role brings, from her recurring role as a no nonsense nurse on ABC’s medical drama Combat Hospital, to the down to earth Princess Thaisa in Chicago Shakespeare Theatre’s production of PericlesLisa Berry.

Lisa has also been honored with a Trailblazer Award from the Reel World Film Festival and a Broadway World nomination for “best performance by an actress in a featured role” for her work as Calpurnia in Young People’s Theatre’s production of To Kill A Mockingbird. She was also happily surprised to receive her second Black Canadian Award nomination for her work in television this past year.  Lisa also enjoys working behind the scenes as an elected council member for ACTRA Toronto.

Having performed at both The Stratford and Shaw Festivals, two of the leading repertory theatre companies in Canada, Lisa has since gone on to play leading roles on all of the main Canadian stages.  Notable parts includes originating the role of Corporal Tanya Young in Trillium Award winner Hannah Moscovitch’s World Premier of This Is War,  Mayme in the Canadian Premier of the Pulitzer Prize winning play Intimate Apparel for Canadian Stage and Mrs. Muller opposite Canada’s My Big Fat Greek Wedding star Fiona Reid, in Doubt A. Parable.  Most recently, Lisa crossed the border making her American theatre stage debut to rave reviews, playing Thaisa opposite Ben Carlson in Chicago Shakespeare Theatre’s production of Pericles.

Lisa shares her life with fellow actor and Stratford star Dion Johnstone (Othello, The Tempest opposite Christopher Plummer). She is the youngest of four children, born and raised in Richmond Hill – just outside Toronto.  As a child she was shy and quiet – which is hard to believe for most who know her now – but with the help of her much louder siblings, she quickly found her voice. While Lisa enjoys immersing herself into both acting and coaching and is always looking for ways to stretch both personally and professionally, she never forgets to carve out a little time to relax and recharge.

The Promotion People - The DetaineeTHUNDER ROAD and FILM HOUSE GERMANY have optioned THE DETAINEE, a brilliant dystopian adventure by author and playwright Peter Liney in a deal negotiated by Penny Karlin, of The Karlin Connection, Literary Manager Daniaile Jarry of Open Entertainment and Jonathan Fuhrman of Thunder Road.

THE DETAINEE is the first of a trilogy described as ‘a Hunger Games for adults’.

The Maze Runner has grossed over 340 million dollars worldwide. Grant is repped by Paradigm and Gotham\Principal. Erica Lee will oversee for Thunder Road.

Synopsis:
Clancy is an ageing ‘big guy’, someone whose physical stature once guaranteed him respect in the community – but no more: now he, along with the rest of society’s ‘waste’, has been shipped out to live on the Island. Yet another victim of the calamitous collapse of the financial institutions, changing demographics, and the state’s inability to continue supporting its weaker members.

Punishment satellites watch over this outpost of hell 24/7, meting out instant judgement on those who commit crimes, including trying to escape back to the Mainland. But worse than that are the nights when the fogs rolling in off the sea are so thick that the satellites can’t function: it’s then that the sick and elderly are subjected to terrifying raids by young garbage urchins manipulated through drugs and controlled by the Wastelords.

No situation could be bleaker or more desolate . . . until Clancy discovers Lena, a young blind woman, living alone in the old subways, and with her comes hope.

THE DETAINEE is part love story, part adventure, but most of all, a testimony to the human spirit: the truth that no matter how grim the situation, given the tiniest drop of hope, we will find a way to survive.

DONNA LEWIS RETURNS WITH BRAND NEW DAY, FEATURING DAVID KING, REID ANDERSON AND ETHAN IVERSON

Platinum Singer-Songwriter Reimagines Her Own Material and Songs by David Bowie, Neil Young, Damian Rice, Gnarls Barkley, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Chocolate Genius,Burt Bacharach and Harry Nilsson

Donna Lewis will be performing at The Falcon in Marlboro, New York on March 26 and
at Turning Point in Piermont, New York on March 27

The Welsh-born singer Donna Lewis is one of those rare artists whose immense success on the pop radio charts disguises an exceptional and serious musicianship and breadth of repertoire. Lewis’ new album, Brand New Day, reveals the range of her artistry, and may surprise listeners who know her only for her pop hits “I Love You Always Forever,” “At The Beginning,” “I Could Be The One” and “Love Him.” Produced and arranged by Lewis’ longtime friend David Torn, the genre-busting composer and producer, Brand New Day is an intoxicating set of jazz-inflected covers and Lewis originals in which she is joined by the eminent progressive jazz musicians Ethan Iverson (piano), Reid Anderson (bass) and Dave King (drums). Palmetto releases the album March 10, 2015.

With her distinctive, breathy voice and unique phrasing, Lewis brings a fresh immediacy to the covers on Brand New Day, including David Bowie‘s infrequently heard “Bring Me the Disco King,” Neil Young‘s “Helpless,” Damien Rice‘s “Amie,” and Chocolate Genius‘ “My Mom,” among others. The album also features two new Lewis originals, “Sleep” and “Brand New Day,” as well as a powerful remake of “I Love You Always Forever.”

For an artist used to the do-and-do-again perfectionism of pop music recording sessions, returning to the improvisational nature of jazz was an exciting prospect. It took nerve for Lewis to take on songs so deeply etched in the pop consciousness in such a stripped-down setting, but she recorded most of them in a single take. As a result, the record has live, organic, nearly ambient feel.

The Promotion People - Donna

“I Love You Always Forever” was such a hit for Lewis that, for many listeners, it will always be the thing for which she is remembered. Atlantic Records Chairman Doug Morris had been so enamored with the demo for that song that he flew Lewis to New York to meet him and perform her material, and offered her a deal on the spot. It became the first song ever to get a million spins on American radio and the third best-selling song in the history of Atlantic Records. The record also was an international sensation, topping charts all over the world. Lewis’ second album for the label, Blue Planet (1998), spawned two hits: “Love Him,” which topped the Billboard Dance charts, and “I Could Be the One.”

She soon began to reveal other dimensions of her creativity. While on hiatus to start a family, she left her mark on such projects as The Art of Noise’s The Seduction of Claude Debussy. She began her longtime collaboration with David Torn, a guitarist and studio wizard known for his film scores including Friday Night Lights, The Order and Lars and the Real Girl, as well as for his work with rock legends such as David Bowie and Jeff Beck. In 2001, five electronically textured songs Torn and Lewis wrote and recorded for the Chute project were among the most requested on Los Angeles’ KCRW for three weeks running. She released the acoustic Be Still in 2002 and the high-energy In the Pink in 2008.

Still, the aptly titled Brand New Day is both a striking departure from anything she has done before, and the fullest realization of qualities that have always set her apart. As Time Out NY said before a recent NYC performance, “If you really listened past the earworm chorus and bubbly beat of Lewis’s debut hits, you quickly sensed that she was no flash in the pan. The classically trained…Lewis had a breathy coo that could recall Kate Bush, and used it with a flexibility that few pop princesses could muster.”

Brightlight Pictures’ Short film, “GREECE”, heads for colder climate with Whistler International Film Festival Selection

Writer/Director/Actor Sarah Deakins’ award winning short film, “GREECE” is set for its Canadian premiere at the Whistler International Film Festival as a part of the Canadian Short Works Competition. “GREECE” will screen on Thursday, December 4th, 12:00pm at Millennium Place www.whistlerfilmfestival.com

The Promotion People - GREECE

“GREECE” centers on a daughter’s final attempt to connect with her seemingly catatonic mother. Brightlight Pictures president Shawn Williamson saw something in local writer Deakins’ script, and took the project on as a creative labour of love. A recent co-recipient of the inaugural Brian Linehan Actor Award, Deakins also stars in the character driven drama and as a director she was finally able to fully realize her vision, in her hometown of Vancouver.

Already a triple award winner, GREECE continues to garner praise following its debut in October on the US Film Festival circuit. A fresh, local Vancouver crew, all volunteers, worked closely together to produce a short with incredible production value, inspired by a strong creative vision from the film’s writer/director, Sarah Deakins, and captured beautifully by cinematographer Jon Joffin.

The Best Shorts Competition says of GREECE, “A tribute to the complicated relationships between parents and children with moving dialogue and expressions…A deeply personal journey with beautiful cinematography” and film critic David Spaner tweeted,  “…catch director/actor/writer Sarah Deakins’ Greece when you can. Beautifully executed short making festival rounds”.

In response to the three awards before the film has even hit the Canadian festival circuit, Ms. Deakins states, “Everyone who worked  on this film is thrilled to have been recognized by the Best Shorts Competition and The Accolade Global competition judges, and we are most grateful that the film is connecting with people. The whole team worked really hard to bring this vision to life and to know that people are now responding to the artistry that we took such care with is most gratifying. And we’re thrilled to have our Canadian premiere at Whistler!”

Producer Arielle Boisvert says, “We have been very pleased with the response to our film. The subject matter is close to our hearts and we are looking forward to our Canadian premier in Whistler.”

In demand Erica Carroll keeps busy with recurring roles on the CW’s Supernatural and Hallmark Channel’s When Calls the Heart

The Promotion People - Erica CarrollRising star Erica Carroll, best known for her recurring role on the long-running CW series Supernatural and Hallmark Channel’s When Calls the Heart.

Always busy, the Canadian actress can currently be seen in the new season of CW’s Emmy-nominated and cult-favorite series Supernatural with her next episode airing on Tuesday, November 25th. She plays Hannah, a not-so-graceful angel occupying a human body. “I am quite proud of Hannah who I play on Supernatural,” says Erica. “Although she may be an ethereal being, she certainly doesn’t navigate the human world with the utmost finesse, which leads to awkward yet endearing moments and some seriously bad-ass altercations too.”

About Erica:
Erica is proud to be the first member of her family to be born in Canada, with deep roots running back to Dublin, Ireland. Born, in an ambulance headed to Fraser Lake, she split her childhood between Fort St. John (Northeastern B.C.) and Duncan, B.C, on Vancouver Island. Today, the homegrown talent calls East Vancouver home.

Reflecting her Irish roots, Erica began taking Irish dancing lessons at the tender age of five, where she discovered  both a passion and a fear of being on stage. “I knew in my heart I wanted to perform in some capacity, but the thought of it terrified me,” she admits. “I watched Airplane and Beetlejuice repeatedly, loving bizarre comedy and weird and wonderful characters.”

Erica caught the acting bug years later as a teen after attending a performance of The Phantom of the Opera at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre with her family. A self-professed Saturday Night Live super-fan, she would make silly home videos trying out characters with a friend who owned a camera. But it was only in her 20s that she decided to give acting a serious shot. She studied drama at three schools, including Canadian College in Victoria, The Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin, and the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles. The latter has graduated the likes of Anne Hathaway, Robert Redford and the late Lauren Bacall.

Erica has been featured in countless Vancouver-shot TV shows, including Motive, Alcatraz, Fringe, Spooksville, Caprica, Smallville, Almost Human, Battlestar Galactica, and the list goes on. She’s also appeared in many independent films; Erica received a Leo nomination for her performance in the short film When Jesse Was Born. That same role nabbed her a Best Female Performance award at the Sacramento Film Festival. One of her latest features, Afterparty, premiered at last year’s Whistler Film Festival to critical praise.

“The film was entirely improvised, which is a thrilling experience for any actor and it was a really wonderful cast of local actors,” Erica shares. “Let’s just be honest, filming Afterparty was like being at summer camp with your best friends.”

When she’s not acting, Erica can be found coaching and motivating up and coming young talent, advocating safe technology, and pursuing a year long fitness program commitment to rehabilitate from several car accidents.

A true animal lover, Erica supports the SPCA and the Vancouver Humane Society. She has a Bullmastiff named Bella who has survived two bouts of cancer through the use of naturopathic remedies.
