Tammy directs original comedy web series THE SUPPORT GROUP premiers January 6th
2015 has been the busiest year for actor/director Tammy Gillis. She stars in two Hallmark movies soon to be released. The first is the Canadian premier of SIGNED, SEALED DELIVERED: IMPOSSIBLE DREAM airing on E! Network on December 13th. She spent this past summer in Spain and Winnipeg filming the lead role in the feature film MENORCA. The web series The Support Group is Tammy’s directorial debut, which she also produced and acted in.
Tammy Gillis plays a profound character in Signed Sealed Delivered: Impossible Dream which is based on the real story of the Band of Sisters. The Band of Sisters are part of an ultrasecret Joint Special Operations Command – which sent female soldiers in the field to go out on combat missions alongside the Rangers. They are female warriors on the frontlines. Tammy’s role depicts a female U.S. soldier in the special ops unit who is held captive in Afghanistan. In this movie, Tammy embodies the strength and courage of her character that is needed for survival, while also being able to portray the compassion found in human nature even under such difficult circumstances. This role displays the diversity and talent of Tammy’s acting.

Farpoint Films’ Menorca is a feature film directed and written by John Barnard. It was filmed in Winnipeg and Spain in the summer of 2015. Tammy plays a hedonistic soccer mom who indulges in her fantasy world, breaking away entirely from her family and life of motherhood. As she embarks on a journey through bad decision-making, she comes to a conclusion to the singularity of her life purpose. She needs to win back her son’s affection.
The Support Group is an original comedy web series produced by Beyond Theatre Productions about three unlikely friends, each facing their own challenges, coming together to save their beloved support group. The Support Group team achieved success early on, being featured in a Vancouver Sun article on up-and coming filmmakers and completing an oversubscribed IndieGoGo campaign, bringing their total budget to roughly $5,000. The first episode of the series, titled ‘Positive?’, premieres online on January 6th, 2016 through their YouTube channel Beyond Theatre Productions at 2:30pm PT on YouTube. The trailer has now been launched online and the episodes premiere starting January 6, 2016.
Tammy recently appeared in a number of other productions including a recurring guest star in Hallmark’s Signed, Sealed, Delivered: Truth Be Told. On television, she had a guest-starring role alongside Jason Priestley in UPTV’s Ties That Bind. Tammy was also seen in the first episode of the final season of Syfy’s Continuum that aired on Showcase and Syfy.
She is widely recognized for her multitude of film and television appearances. Her onscreen credits include roles in White Noise 2 and Shooter starring Mark Wahlberg. Tammy plays one of the leading roles in the soon to be released feature film The Pinocchio Project directed by Anand Raghaven.
This exceptionally talented actress also guest starred on CTV’s hit drama Motive, the critically acclaimed award winning HBO Canada series Less Than Kind, and the Douglas Coupland CBC comedy jPod. She has appeared in roles on the Bravo series Girlfriend’s Guide to Divorce, CW’s Supernatural, Showcase’s Lost Girl, Spike TV’s Blue Mountain State, Showcase’s Endgame and many more. Her MOW’s include the Hallmark romantic comedy A Novel Romance and the Lifetime thriller Stolen from the Womb.
