Laser Shows and Displays for Weddings

During the preparation of the perfect wedding, future brides and grooms should expect a lot of stress. Without a plan made beforehand, something will likely be forgotten or missed. Useful tips on how to deal with pre-wedding anxiety check on this page.

Part of the wedding to-do list should be the stage lighting, as well as activities that will entertain your guests. Sure, the most important day of your life can go without all that shine and sparks, but colorful light beams and display will make your event spectacular.

It is essential for the newlyweds that their guests have a good time and have pleasant memories of their wedding. No matter where you plan to hold the wedding ceremony, light beams combined with music and movement promise really good fun.

How to Arrange Laser Shows and Displays

Technology is advancing, and we are using it in every segment of our lives. So, a few years ago, enthusiasts realized that laser projections could part of festive events. Very quickly, this trend is booming, and laser shows have become one of the most sought after attractions for weddings or any other kind of celebrations.

The agencies that perform these performances are generally booked months in advance, as laser shows are in high demand. This business has evolved at high speed, and the best thing that has come from it is competitive pricing.

Back in the days, light shows were a rarity and attraction that not everyone could afford. Today, these types of performance still cost a great deal, but compared to a few years ago, the prices significantly decreased. Now, these shows are affordable and available, so there are other factors to consider when selecting the one for your wedding.

Factors to Consider when Hiring Laser Show Performers

The first of these is undoubtedly the location of the agency that rents the performers. On the Internet, you will undoubtedly look for those closest to you. But if you can afford it, you can also hire laser shows from another city, even the state.

Then, pay attention to what you get in the ‘package.’ Do the artists provide the music or it’s up to you; whether the show is time-limited or will the engaged performers strive for a complete laser show during the wedding; whether the show is interactive or conceptualized as a play, and so on. Companies like Smoking Hot Productionswill gladly answer all your questions and help you find the right performers for your wedding.

Ideas to Present Laser Show at Wedding

The entrance of the newlyweds to the hall or their first dance is certainly the most memorable moments of every wedding. Then all eyes are on the bride and groom, and these are the perfect moments when the light beams and displays should be on.

For example, during the first dance, song beats mixed with photos of the newlyweds can be ‘outlined’ in the background. Or the displays can be placed at the entrance, where they will turn on when the newlyweds appear at the door.

Also, during the first dance, beams of light can spell out the names of the newlyweds, or important dates, and even song lyrics. For some more romantic songs, lasers can project a starry sky or shiny rain. For a more realistic experience, light beams can be aimed at displays, so everything will look like a lightbox.

Safety Issues

Licensed agencies will do their best to secure all necessary permits and provide the highest level of safety during the laser show. There are good reasons to doubt the safety of using these light beams, especially for eyes and skin. That’s why only trained professionals should work with this technology.

During the show, trained performers use lasers that are classified as a Class 1, which implies no danger if appropriately used. About the potential risks of misuse, read below:

https://www.lasersafetyfacts.com/.

Finding the perfect scene does not take much time, but we recommend it to do that right after making a reservation for a wedding ceremony, because of constructional issues. Also, most of these shows can be custom-made. Newlyweds can come up with ideas, and in agreement with the performers, see how feasible they are.

Circus Entertainment for Weddings

Circus Entertainment Ideas for Your Wedding Party

Every woman (but also a man) wants a fairytale wedding from which they will have some of the most beautiful life memories. This date is one of the most important in life; while some want to celebrate it modestly, gathering only their loved ones, some people want to make a spectacle of their big day and throw an unforgettable party for their guests.

However, clients should not forget the fact that all attention should be on the bride and groom. Circus acts should never steal the show. Their performance must be a touch of fun and excitement; they can be here and there, noted and stylish but modest compared to the newlyweds.

Dancers

Dance and entertainment are integral parts of every wedding, and hiring circus artists will take all the fun to a higher level. If your celebration takes place in a large venue with a podium where choreography can be performed, you can engage talented circus dancers to entertain your guests.

Depending on the type of your wedding party, you can opt for different choreographies, which include appropriate costumes and scenography. Dance performances never last more than a few minutes, but they are remarkable and sure will make your wedding memorable. Some of the themes most newlyweds opt for can be burlesque, showgirls, or belly dance. And if they want to shake the invitees up, break-dancers or carnival dancers is a good idea.

Mimes

Walkabout performers have been one of the leading trends for any events over the last years. The mime artists, who have adapted this art to the modern market and the demands of present-days, provide excellent silent comedy and entertainment.

Performances of mime artists are discreet but very compelling. Especially kids like these artists, but even adults will not resist joining the pantomimists in the play. It is a great way to boost your party when your guests become a part of the stage performance. This type of entertainment is an excellent choice for daytime weddings as it requires no special equipment or lighting.

Fire Performance

If you want to bring a boost of adrenaline to your guests, fire performers are something they certainly don’t see often. Fire eaters, breathers, dancers, entertainers and all kinds of enthusiasts playing with an open flame will set your wedding party on fire and make it spectacular.

Fire performance has a long history as a ritual dance. How it became a part of the modern gatherings, see on the following page:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fire_performance#History.

Solo acts or a group show, with or without music – it’s up to you (and your budget). In addition to the ‘usual’ fire show, there are options for the performers to walk and spin the fire through the crowd, juggle going on stilts, but also engage them as ‘meet and greet’ for guest arrival.

The fire show experience is best in the evening or late at night. The dark gives a dose of mysticism and further emphasizes the power of the flames with which the performers play so skillfully. So if you plan a late-afternoon wedding party, think about making it big with fire performers.

The risk of fire shows is minimal. Experienced artists perform complete preparation of the stage, providing all health and safety equipment, so both guests and participants of the show are fully protected.

Glow Show

If the use of fire to entertain is too much, but you want something similar for your wedding party, you can hire glow dancers. The LED lights these artists use are a great alternative to fire, only less harmful and dangerous. Another benefit of this show is that it can be performed in smaller spaces.

The use of light has almost no risk, so it is possible to involve guests in the glow performance, even children. The show scheduled for the evening will be magnificent because the LED lights will be even more noticeable and the photos will be great. The newlyweds and guests will have an unforgettable experience and beautiful memories of a great wedding party.

Wedding is a great day for you, but you shouldn’t neglect your guests. You certainly want to make a good impression and organize a party to talk about for a long time. Circus acts can give you an unforgettable experience, whether you hire them as walkabout entertainers or as the scheduled show.

Camille Mitchell

Actor / Filmmaker Camille Mitchell is nominated for 2019 Leo Award for Best Guest Performance by a Female – Dramatic Series for Netflix’s Van Helsing

2019 trip of a lifetime at the famous Venice Carnival with Michelin-starred cuisine

Award-winning actor Camille Mitchell is nominated for the 2019 Leo Award for Best Guest Performance by a Female in a Dramatic Series for playing the refined Mrs. Fontleroy, on Netflix’s hit series Van Helsing directed by executive producer Michael Nankin, with whom she previously worked with on Caprica

In this exotic episode, Camille’s character helps the lead actor Vanessa (Kelly Overton), chase down vampires in Hong Kong in the 1890s. Camille plays the terribly British, polite and reserved Mrs. Fontleroy, the Governor’s wife, and daughter of John Seward, who was a faithful servant to the great vampire-slayer, Abraham Van Helsing (Vanessa’s grandfather). The episode was shot at the heritage Overlynn Manor in Burnaby and at Dr. Sun Yay-Sen Gardens, which were amazing backdrops for this period episode. “The tricky bits were getting used to the corsets and keeping those long skirts out of Vancouver’s rain puddles,” says Camille.

This year’s 2019 Leo Awards Red Carpet will be even more special. Camille is thrilled to be wearing a vintage dress designed by Christian Dior that her mother, Johanna Mendel Mitchell, wore to the Hollywood premiere of  “Carousel” in 1956 in which her father, Cameron Mitchell, starred as Jigger. Last year Camille was also nominated for a Leo Award for Best Guest Performance by a Female – Dramatic Series her role as Esperanza on ABC’s Somewhere Between that creator and executive producer, Stephen Tolkin, then told Camille, “I wrote this role for you.”

2019 has been full of adventure for Camille.  Earlier this year Camille attended the Venice Carnival, the oldest carnival in Europe. Dating back to 1162, it is the last hurrah before Lent, a weeks-long farewell to all things fun. Camille’s experience of it was a joyous fantasia of people from all over the world in costume parading through the streets from dawn till dusk, gathering in San Mark’s Square to pose for iPhones and sip prosecco. At the traditional Baglioni Ball, she was feted to a six-course feast in a palazzo, Baroque music, instruction in the minuet by a Commedia del Arte troupe and she danced the night away by candlelight.

She was then whisked off to Rome to take a cooking class with Francesco, tackling fettuccine, ravioli, and a killer tiramisu. https://www.italiancookingclassesinrome.com To top the trip off Camille and her companions dined at Aroma the most magnificent Michelin-starred restaurant across from the Colosseum and kitty-corner to the Forum on the fourth floor of the Palazzo Manfredi. www.aromarestaurant.it/en

Although acting is her first love, Camille embraced filmmaking with her first short film, A Mother’s Love that won her Canada’s Crazy 8s Film Competition and numerous accolades at festivals around the world, including the Madrid International Film Festival, Manhattan Film Festival and London’s Best Drama Award at the SuperShorts International Film Festival.

A year later, Camille received a scholarship to Screenwriting and Film Production at Loyola Marymount University’s School of Film and Television in Los Angeles to pursue her Master’s degree in Production and Feature Film. She quickly proved her talent transcended from in front of the lens, to behind it as well, with Camille winning the Best Shorts Film Competition and 2016 Award of Merit for her second short film, By the Fountain, which also screened at the 2016 New York City International Film Festival, the 2016 People’s Film Festival of Harlem, and at the 2016 Marche du Film in Cannes with Camille in attendance.

Camille has garnered extraordinary acclaim for her versatility onstage and onscreen. Well known on television for her Leo Award-nominated role portraying tough-talking Sheriff Nancy Adams on the CW’s hit television show Smallville for five seasons, she also appeared onstage as a leading lady at the Stratford and Shaw festivals, where she was hailed her as “a gift to the theatre” by the London Times.

Camille won Canada’s Jessie Award for her portrayal of Ariel in Shakespeare’s “The Tempest” opposite Gordon Pinsent and was also nominated for Best Actress Awards for Blanche in “A Streetcar Named Desire,” Madame Tourvel in “Les Liaisons Dangereuses,” and Elizabeth in “The Crucible.”

Born in Santa Monica to Hollywood star Cameron Mitchell and Johanna Mendel Mitchell was raised in Vancouver, Canada, and studied at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London, England.

Camille is available for interviews and photos upon request.
