Versatile performer Wesley MacInnes joins the talented cast of HISTORY’s hit UFO drama series Project Blue Book which returns for its second season on January 21st at 10/9c. The historical drama from Academy Award and Golden Globe® winner Robert Zemeckis (Back to the Future, Forrest Gump, Contact) and starring Aidan Gillen (“Game of Thrones”) and Michael Malarkey (“The Vampire Diaries”) is based on the true, Top Secret investigations into Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) and related phenomena conducted by the United States Air Force from 1952-1969.
Wesley plays a soldier named Damon in the upcoming premiere episode – “The Roswell Incident – Part I.” By its very nature, the series is shrouded in secrecy, so you will have to tune in if you would like to learn more about Damon’s story!
On the big screen, Wesley recently found himself caught in the middle of a gang war in the revenge-driven dark comedy feature film Cold Pursuit, starring Liam Neeson, Laura Dern, and Emmy Rossum.
Wesley was last spotted on television in the hit CW show DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, playing up his Irish heritage, and hamming it up as a cheeky leprechaun hanging out with Marilyn Monroe in a 1962 Las Vegas Casino. Other recent notable roles include a villain in the 2017 feature film Power Rangers.
Wesley pours his passion for performing in every role. He has a long list of television credits that include: iZombie, Motive, The 100, Supernatural, Continuum, Smallville, Heartland and The Vampire Diaries. He has also taken on roles in feature films, including Magic Beyond Words: The JK Rowling Story, A Dog Named Christmas, Girl House, and The Phantoms.
On the other side of the camera, Wesley is an established music video director and has been nominated multiple times for director and video of the year at the CCMA, BCCMA and Leo Awards.
As a musician, MacInnes is widely recognized by his stage name Wes Mack. Mack is a ten-time CCMA nominated artist who has toured with Shania Twain and performed alongside acts including Eric Church, Luke Combs, Florida Georgia Line, Thomas Rhett, and Midland.
Mack’s latest album Soul, which was co-produced by Mack and Jordan Orbek (George Canyon, Chris Buck), dropped in 2019 and has already amassed over 4 million spins. The album digs deep into his life stories and gives listeners everything from high energy anthems to slow-burning ballads.
The latest single from the album is an upbeat anthem titled, Just Getting Warmed Up and is set to be released to radio on January 24th, 2020.
The singer-songwriter took a hands-on approach for his sophomore album, co-writing and co-producing every track. Mack wrote both of his previous top 10 Country Billboard hits and has written with veteran songwriters in Nashville and abroad.
Wesley is a Calgary native, who currently resides in Vancouver, where he continues to expand his ever-growing resume of impressive credits. From the largest stages and arenas to the director’s chair, from writing hit songs to creating characters as an actor; Wesley has established himself as a creative force of many forms.
