Canadian actor/writer/producer Corey Large just wrapped production of the Sci-Fi Thriller Anti-Life starring Bruce Willis
Corey has raised millions to produce feature films around the world with A-list Actors and Directors with many more productions in development
Multitalented actor/producer/writer/ director Corey Large (It Follows, The November Man, Lone Survivor) is a true maverick in the entertainment industry. With 52 producer credits, 32 acting credits and 9 writing credits to his name, Corey successfully covers all aspects of the film business. The Canadian native has raised millions of dollars to finance a number of feature films with A-list actors for blockbusters that have screened at prestigious film festivals and in theatres worldwide.
One of the busiest men in the entertainment industry, Corey just wrapped production of the sci-fi thriller Anti-Life last week with Bruce Willis (Armageddon, Fifth Element) and co-stars alongside Cody Kearsley (Riverdale), Thomas Jane (The Predator) and Rachel Nichols (Titans). In the year 2242, earth is in the grip of a mysterious plague. Fleeing the dying planet, hot-tempered high-school dropout, Noah Coral (Cody Kearsley), follows the mother of his unborn child, Hayley Adams (Kassandra Clementi) onto the U.S.S. Hercules as it embarks on a one-way trip to New Earth. As crewmembers start to die under mysterious circumstances, Noah becomes the main suspect, but war hero of the ship, Clay Young (Bruce Willis), suspects the deaths might be linked to anomalies in the ships Quantum-Engine. On a ship full of bounty hunters like Lincoln Beckett (Corey Large), hard-living doctors (Rachel Nichols), and brawling engineers (Johnny Messner), nobody is safe. The ship’s Head of Security, Stanley (Timothy V. Murphy), learns one of the crew has deliberately invited in a malevolent alien race known as the Anti-Life, and it’s hunting the crew members in an attempt to turn the ship into a weapon. With time running out before the U.S.S. Hercules, Noah and Clay team-up to outwit the Anti-Life in the hopes of living to escape the traumas they were running from on Earth.
Screen Media has just signed on for the sales rights for Anti-Life with Film Mode Entertainment acting as its sales agent and co-rep sales at the American Film Market November 6 – 13 in Santa Monica. Anti-Life was written by Edward Drake (True Detective) and Corey Large (November Man), and is produced by Large and Danny Roth (The Hurricane Heist).
With a number of exciting projects on the horizon, BROIL is a thriller/horror feature film that was shot in Vancouver, B.C. earlier this year. A listless teenager, Chance Sinclair (Avery Konrad), is sentenced to live with her draconian grandfather, August Timothy V. Murphyafter a violent incident at school and begins to question the source of her families immense wealth and power. When Chance’s scheming Mom, June Annette Reilly, hires a troubled chef, Sydney Jonathan Lipnicki, to poison August, the family’s monstrous secrets are revealed over one bloody night. Every soul is up for grabs as The Sinclair Family Games Night gets underway and Chance learns that being apart of this family is a blood-in, blood-out proposition. In addition to producing the feature, Corey stars alongside Lochlyn Munro (Riverdale, Unforgiven), Avery Konrad (Van Helsing, Sacred Lies), and John Cassini (The Game, Seven, Intelligence). Broilis written and directed by Edward Drake (Anti-Life, Animals) and is based on the screenplay written by Piper Mars.
One of his most ambitious productions, the action-adventure feature film In Like Flynnbased on Errol Flynn’s original autobiography “Beam Ends” inspired by the writers’ travels through Australia, has just been released on all platforms in the U.S.
With a career spanning over 20 years, Corey has worked with A-List actors including Pierce Bronsnan (November Man), Brad Pitt (Killing Them Softly), Russell Crowe and Mark Wahlberg (Broken City), Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Sylvester Stallone (The Tomb) to name a few. Alongside famed director Martin Scorsese, Corey executive produced Revenge of the Green Dragonsstarring Ray Liotta, Justin Chon, Kevin Wu, and Harry Shum Jr. Corey’s films are produced in countries worldwide.
Corey has written, produced, co-starred in and sold a number of full-length features to Hollywood studios, including Loaded, Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever, Toxic, The Penthouse,The Obama Effect, Welcome to the Jungle, and The Frozen Ground. Corey executive produced Fire with Firestarring Josh Duhamel, The Angriest Man in Brooklynstarring Mila Kunis and the late Robin Williams. Other features include Lap Dance, Zombeavers, Don Peyote, Unconscious, and Empire State. Corey also had a role in the Oscar-nominated Lone Survivor starring Mark Wahlberg, Taylor Kitsch, and Eric Bana.
Staying true to his Canadian roots, Corey wants to bring as many productions to Canada as possible. Other past British Columbia productions include The Ninth Passenger, Poker Night and Kid Cannabis to name a few.
