Canadian Producer Rick Dugdale continues to develop and grow Enderby Entertainment’s global presence with multi-picture deals with plans to film in Canada

Rick Dugdale is producing feature films all over the world with A-list actors.  Dugdale has completed work on Enderby Entertainment’s most ambitious project to date: The Intrigo Anthology – three films shot back to back, based upon a series of European best-sellers by the immensely popular Swedish author Håkan Nesser. Daniel Alfredson directed each of the films with Pawel Edelman as Director of Photography. The second and third films entitled Intrigo: Dear Agnes and Intrigo: Samaria will be released On Demand on all platforms on May 5, 2010.  The first Intrigo: Death of An Author was released earlier this year and currently available on all platforms.

Originally from Enderby, BC, Dugdale has had a successful career in the BC Film Industry. He is  committed to producing many more feature films and TV series now in pre-production.  “We are working on a strategy to shoot a series of films in Canada post COVID-19, by staying in involved in industry global think tanks to figure out the way forward….”. Dugdale states.

He filmed Blackway starring Academy Award® Winner Anthony Hopkins and Julia Stiles in Enderby, BC.  Dugdale has most recently completed post-production on Recon (originally titled Peace) starring Alexander Ludwig. Based on a true story from the celebrated novelist Richard Bausch and written and directed by Academy Award® winning filmmaker Robert Port, the principal photography was shot around Dugdale’s hometown in Enderby, Canada. Plans are to release Recon on November 10, 2020. Rick is happy to talk to the media about the future of filming in Canada.

Dan Rizzuto Director Debut

Filmmaker Dan Rizzuto directorial debut feature film Torn: Dark Bullets will be released on Amazon Prime Video in Canada on Friday, April 24th. The thriller is a raw and unapologetic look into a police shooting, racism and the connections they share.

Torn: Dark Bullets stars Sam Vincent, Dexter Bell and William ‘Big Sleeps’ Stewart, Karen Holness, Christina Lewall and will be released in 2020

Director/Writer/Producer/Actor/ and Stunt/Fight Coordinator Dan Rizzuto is a well-respected filmmaker that leaves no stone unturned. One of his most ambitious projects to date is the feature film Torn: Dark Bullets, that tackles racial tensions. With plans to be released this year, Dan wrote the feature film with his writing partner Joshua Mazerolle. He also co-produced this feature film directorial debut with his producing partner Scott Bailey.

While on duty, Detective Pearce shoots and kills a black teenager. During the criminal trial Pearce is found not guilty. Despite his acquittal, Pearce’s personal life deteriorates as he uses booze and self-pity to cope. Amidst one of these bouts with the bottle, Pearce becomes aware of a civil lawsuit filed by the family for loss of life and damages. In a moment of alcohol fueled self-righteousness, Pearce decides to confront the parents of the victim. When Pearce arrives at their home, circumstances spiral into a hostile situation that continues to ramp in intensity as more people become involved, creating a pressure cooker where all secrets are revealed.

Torn: Dark Bullets stars Sam VincentDexter BellWilliam ‘Big Sleeps’ Stewart Karen Holness and Christina Lewall.

Torn: Dark Bullets has defied many people’s expectations by delivering a story dealing in thought-provoking subject matter— he wants future projects to do the same. Rizzuto adds, “Authentic stories are what I want to do, I think that is lost in the world today.”

Dan Rizzuto has worked in many movie business roles, from bodyguard to the stars to stuntman and stunt-fight coordinator. He has directed a number of short films, music videos (with Grammy winning artists and producers)  and 2nd unit directed, so he was ready for the challenge of directing his first full length feature film with everything he has learned being on set with some of the best directors in the world.

Rizzuto’s career has seen him share film sets with movie stars like Nicolas Cage, Ryan Reynolds, Tom Cruise and renowned martial artists Iko Uwais, Tony Jaa, Steven Seagal and many others.

Rizzuto is a stunt-fight coordinator for popular TV series that include Wu Assassins (Netflix) Van Helsing (Netflix), Legions, Lucifer, Boss Level, EL Chicano, Psych, and Lockdown to name a few.

He has also worked as a stunt performer on the feature films Deadpool, Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol, Tomorrowland, Underworld Awakening, Man of Steel, Godzilla and Watchman.

As an actor, Rizzuto credits include Jiu Jitsu Movie, Van Helsing, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, Bates Motel, Need for Speed and Night At The Museum.

In addition to being one of the most sought-after fight coordinators, Dan owns and operates one of the most recognized stunt training facilities in North America called M1 Action Design where actors and stunt performers train.

Dan has risen to the challenges that the film industry brings with it and has broken barriers and taken giant leaps, never looking back. Performing first as a Stunt Man, Dan was quickly recognized for his unique fighting techniques and started getting hired as a Fight Choreographer; where he really has excelled.

In 1998 his life turned around when he was a celebrity bodyguard working on set and realized that he wanted to become a stunt professional. Now, with 21years of on set film industry experience there is no stopping him.

As a former professional fighter under UFC legend Frank Shamrock, a first degree Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt, and holding certification under world renowned Jeet Kune Do and Filipino Marital Arts Masters, Ron Balicki, Diana Lee Inosanto and legendary Dan Inosanto; Dan plans on taking these skills to his 2nd film. Which is slated to be a hardcore action film to resemble the old gritty style of stunts.

Dan splits his time between productions in Vancouver and around the globe. Recently shooting in Atlanta, Thailand, and Cyprus.

Rizzuto’s future projects are being developed through Cerebral Monkey Entertainment Inc, a company he started four years ago. Dan and his team have started to acquire funding for an action film called ‘The Pound’ which is set to shoot in Indonesia.  He has described the project as an action packed thrill ride.

Relationship Dish – The Podcast with Heart

Relationship Dish – The Podcast with Heart

Therapists Iona Monk and Pam Stewart DISH about the challenges of romantic and interpersonal relationships on their weekly podcast

Relationship Dish is an international podcast where the hosts Iona Monk and Pam Stewart, two clinically trained therapists and registered clinical counselors, talk about interpersonal relationships and dish about the challenges and virtues of their own. They dive into the professional literature for strategies and clarity on how to nurture and repair all relationships.

Iona Monk and Pam Stewart, with over 20 years of experience each, are the co-hosts and creative producers of the Relationship Dish podcast. Each episode is unscripted with the goal of being as organic and authentic as possible. Relationship Dish has been running since September 2017. Over 100 episodes have been aired and are released weekly, on Wednesday mornings.

The Relationship Dish Podcast was created specifically with the intent of demonstrating how a therapist navigates relationship challenges and applies strategies to do “better” in the future. The goal of the podcast is to reduce the stigma associated with having relationship challenges. They focus on how couples can get “unstuck” and move forward. Opportunities for successful outcomes are enhanced with access to easily consumable research-based information.

With an intentional amount of personal disclosure in the service of teaching others, Pam and Iona model that the best way to improve a relationship is through self-awareness, personal responsibility and the ability to dialogue in a productive way with your partner. Humor is liberally mixed in with authentic personal stories and psychological theory. The result is a useful, insightful and efficient way to strengthen your relationships.

Iona Monk is a registered clinical counselor with a graduate degree from the University of British Columbia. She views interpersonal relationships, especially couples’ dynamics through two theoretical lenses: attachment systems and defense systems. Both are wise and useful lenses to help people understand and connect with themselves and with the most cherished people in their lives. It is this knowledge of life and love that Iona shares on the Relationship Dish podcast. Her desire is to share her knowledge, humor, and experience with all, to educate and normalize relationship issues that every person experiences.

Pam Stewart is a registered clinical counsellor, with a Masters Degree from the University of British Columbia and another from the University of Colorado. She truly believes that we all grow and evolve most significantly in the context of relationships. Pam’s clinical passion is working with parents and children to facilitate the healthiest attachment relationships possible. Children’s early experience of being loved and interacting with parents and caretakers have tremendous influence on their later experiences as lovers, partners and friends. Pam is aware that no matter how much theoretical knowledge she has, the bottom line is having the courage and commitment to put that knowledge into day to day practice in her own relationships.

As a clinical counsellor, Pam says, “It is important to me that I ‘walk my talk’ in all the relationships in my life. I have discovered that it is way easier to learn academically about therapeutic theory and techniques than it is to apply them in day-to-day life.”

The hosts welcome suggestions from their listeners on what they would like to hear on the Relationship Dish podcast. The show can be listened to directly from the website www.relationshipdish.com, as well as subscribed and listened to on most podcast platforms, including iTunes, Spotify, google play and google podcasts.

Iona Monk and Pam Stewart are available for interviews upon request.

Veronika London

Veronika London brings her talents to The CW TV series DC’s Legends of Tomorrow in the role of Tiffaney Harper and just wrapped shooting her role as Donatella in the feature film The Next Chapter

Veronika is featured as Top 100 – Hot and Fit – in the current issue of Inside Fitness on stands now.

Actress Veronika London is keeping busy on both the small and big screen. In The CW’s TV series DC’s Legends of Tomorrow she is introduced in the role of bright and bubbly Tiffaney Harper this February. Just wrapped in the feature film The Next Chapter, Veronika plays a strong and dominating character in the role of Donatella who is the manager of a bikers’ bar now in post-production. Check her out on magazine stands now featured as Top 100 Hot and Fit – in the current issue of Inside Fitness

It is tempting to compare actress Veronika London to other contemporary bombshells. After all, Maxim magazine boldly christened her as a Canadian sex symbol in a sultry photo spread that set hearts and imagination ablaze. But the Toronto raised beauty is charting a course of her own.

London’s performance as the title character in Nadeem Soumah’s gritty feature film Searching for Angels opposite Vivica A. Fox (Kill Bill, Independence Day) clearly demonstrated she had acting chops and wasn’t afraid to use them. London plays an amnesiac heroin addict who is discovered beaten in the street with no memory of her past. Fearlessly, London shred the trapping that made her a sex symbol and created a riveting gritty portrait of a young woman at serious risk. The result is a performance that is spellbinding in its power and truth. Following the success of the film London’s career blossomed onto the small screen appearing in SHOWTIMES’s Body Language and HBO’s Lingerie. Most recently London appeared in The CW “iZombie, FOX’s Lucifer and in the gritty feature film Dragged Across Concrete which stars Mel Gibson and Vince Vaughan which premiered at the Venice Film Festival in Italy. In the short dark comedy film The Elusive Man Veronika was the leader of the mob. She found the role refreshing and challenging as all her dialogue was in Spanish. This short film went on to win several awards at the LA Film Festival.

Along with acting, London has worked as a host for Toro TV’s Damage Control and has been featured internationally in magazines such as MAXIM UK/USA/CANADA, FLARE, UMM and recently in Inside Fitness Magazine making the top 100 list.

Veronika roots are in Toronto where she studied acting and was in demand as a TV host. She now splits her time between Vancouver and Los Angeles as she pursues more opportunities in the entertainment business.

Veronika is available for interviews and photographs upon request.

Therés Amee

Fit curve model Therés Amee breaks down body barriers in the fashion industry and scouts for new talent alongside Canadian supermodel Coco Rocha

The progressive model and activist has a leading role teaching young girls about healthy body image

For immediate release – Vancouver, BC: What is a fit curve model? British Columbia born model & body image activist, Therés Amee decided to recognize herself, when the fashion industry would not – and the fit curve term was born.

Therés Amee had no intention of becoming a model. Growing up an athlete, sport and endurance were ingrained in her lifestyle, since she started gymnastics at the age of three. From there, Therés competed in everything from swimming, to soccer, to track and field. She was pursuing acting when she was first scouted at a talent convention. The casting director asked her if she has ever thought about modeling. Therés’ quick response was ‘no,’ as she knew she did not have the traditional slim figure of most models.

After the scoutings continued, Therés decided to give it a shot and sign with her first modeling agency. The agency told her to lose weight – and even worse – to lose her muscle mass. They also advised Therés to stop running, as her cardio workouts built her quad muscles, making her legs look ‘unattractive’ on the runway. With growing frustration and depression, Therés decided to push through.

Therés has faced every challenge in the competitive world of modeling along the way but with determination to achieve her success as a sought-after fit curve model, she is opening doors and passing on her body-positive message to young women. After not being accepted as a model at Vancouver Fashion Week, the director noticed her talent and asked her to host the entire weeklong show in a role she had for five successful seasons. During this time, Therés advanced to Toronto, where she worked with IMG during Toronto Fashion Week.

Her next east coast move was to New York City, the mecca of the fashion world. She attended the summer session at Esper Studio, studying acting with William Esper. While in New York, an agency became interested in Therés and offered to represent her. The contract and work Visa never became finalized however, as two months after the meeting, the agency decided to drop Therés due to “not enough clients wanting her look”.

Therés Amee retaliated on social media by posting a photo of herself leaned over, showing her stomach curve. She received great support for her outspoken body image advocacy and made it her goal to embrace her build, and only work with agents and designers who appreciated her body image.

Therés currently works with and teaches young girls about healthy body image through the @beauyoutiful organization. Founded by Taylor Hui, the beayoutiful foundation runs 6-8 week classes focusing on confidence, media literacy, healthy lifestyles, and positive outlook. The foundation also hosts an annual conference called ‘Inspired by HER,’ where girls ages 8-14 come from all over metro-Vancouver to join a full day of wellness workshops.

In September 2018, Therés decided to return to New York, after she was accepted to work with Canadian supermodel, Coco Rocha. Coco had just started her modeling camps, and Therés was thrilled to be apart of her 6thcycle. She was shocked at the diversity of models Coco took on. From plus size to straight size, to models with disabilities, Coco’s camps were filled with beautiful girls from all around the world, simply coming together to enhance their abilities and knowledge of the fashion industry.

Coco encouraged Therés to stay healthy and fit and to keep pursuing her modeling career. After the camp, Therés attended New York fashion week SS and FW 2019 seasons. She met with numerous designers and agents who, to her shock, were interested in having Therés walk in their shows, and be a part of their modeling rosters.

The fashion world had finally advanced, embracing even the un-classifiable middle model, which Therés now happily maintains. Currently, Therés works with Coco Rocha’s model camp as a model scout for upcoming new models in need of the incredible education and experience she gained from training with Coco.

Most recently, Therés Amee produced and modeled in two fashion films this past year, ‘Sa Lune,’ and ‘Rebel with a Claus’. From these films, she graced the cover of Beautymute’s 100th edition, along with a six-page spread and back cover highlight.

Therés Amee is also happily signed with Vancouver based agency, Family Management. After her first interview, Therés shyly asked her new agent, “Would you recommend me losing weight? Or adjusting my diet and exercise routine?” Her agent smiled, and said, “No girl! Just keep being you! Healthy you!”

In two short weeks, Therés Amee will return to New York for fashion week. She is excited to witness change on the runway and future change to come.

Therés Amee is available for interviews and photos upon request.
