His Excellency presents the Meritorious Service Medal (Civil Division) insignia of the Meritorious Service Decoration to Matthew Hill, M.S.M.

His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, presented honours during a ceremony on December 8, 2016. (MST) at the Shaw Conference Centre, in Edmonton, Alberta.
More than 70 remarkable Canadians were recognized for their excellence, courage or exceptional dedication to service with one of the following honours: the Order of Merit of the Police Forces, the Meritorious Service Decoration, the Decoration for Bravery, the Polar Medal or the Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers.
