Tyson Media reached a deal for the rights to film footage of the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation at all its competitions and events.
Redemption Run, a three-part doc-series produced by Tyson Media with Bobsleigh Canada, is in discussion with screening and TV networks.
For Immediate Release, Vancouver, BC: Tyson Hepburn, President of Tyson Media, is pleased to announce that they have signed a deal with the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation (IBSF) for the rights to film footage at all competitions throughout the 2025 – 2026 season. Tyson Media and the IBSF/ International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation have partnered on the project to follow the teams by filming at all the IBSF-sanctioned events and accessing footage from the organization.
The Men’s and Women’s Skeleton and Bobsleigh teams competed at the World Championships in Lake Placid (USA) this past March weekend. After two weeks of breathtaking sliding action, the 2025 IBSF Bobsleigh & Skeleton World Championships ended, marking the end of the pre-Olympic racing season. The bobsleigh and skeleton athletes’ full attention is already set for the upcoming Olympic season.
The Olympic IBSF World Cup season will start in eight months on November 17, 2025, for World Cup week number one, which will take place at the new Olympic venue, the Eugenio Monti Sliding Track in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy.
This announcement continues Tyson Media’s partnership to cover the sports. The TV production company has completed a three-part doc-series, Redemption Run with Canada’s Men’s and Women’s Bobsleigh Skeleton Team, that follows the Canadian Bobsleigh Teams through the 2024/2025 seasons. The doc-series follows the trials and tribulations as the team competes at the North American Cup, the World Cup and the World Championships in Lake Placid, New York, preparing for the 2026 Olympic Games in Milan, Italy. Tyson Media is negotiating with streaming and TV networks to air the three-part series.
“We are excited to partner with the IBSF (International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation) to follow the Canadian team through the 2025 and 2026 seasons. Our company has been given an incredible opportunity to document and ‘pull the curtain back’ on this sport and bring more exposure to the athletes as they prepare in the months and weeks leading up to 2026,” says Tyson Hepburn. “In pitching this project, we’ve been realizing a unique enthusiasm from steamers and broadcast partners and looking forward to finding the right home for our show.”
We are dealing with some of the world’s toughest athletes, whose primary focus is the search for speed, power and accuracy on ice. Our sport is high G-force and full of adrenalin – with winners divided by hundredths of a second,” explained Ivo Ferriani, IBSF President. “And our sport is also so much more than that – our athletes are diverse, with incredible back stories, often coming from a wide range of other sports into bobsleigh, requiring them to dig deep to meet the vital physical and mental agility challenges. It is exciting to work with award-winning Tyson Media to bring to light our truly gripping sport.”
