Orlando Lucas, a multi-talented 19-year-old dancer and actor from Vancouver, British Columbia, has been making waves in the entertainment industry since the age of five, when he first discovered his passion for dance. This April, Orlando and his Crew 24 Dance team were silver medalists in the Adult category at the World Dance Crew Championships in New Zealand. Crew 24 also earned a Gold Medal and are the National Champions for Hip Hop International in New Zealand in the adult category; They will represent New Zealand at the World Finals in Phoenix, Arizona, this summer. While perfecting his craft, Orlando followed in his father’s footsteps at age eight, embarking on an acting career that would see him land roles in television series for CBS, The CW Network, the Hallmark Channel, and Netflix.

Lucas has appeared in several television series, including the pilot episode of The Good Doctor and recurring roles on productions such as Zoo, Altered Carbon, StarBeam, Big Sky River, The Good Doctor, and iZombie, which aired on CBS, The CW, Hallmark, and Netflix. Perhaps his most notable film appearance came in The Unforgivable, a Netflix movie starring Sandra Bullock, where he played the son of Academy Award winner Viola Davis and Vincent D’Onofrio. In addition to live-action performances, Lucas has also lent his voice to multiple animated television series, proving his range extends beyond the screen.

In high school, he realized that dance was not just a hobby but a true calling.  Determined to take his dancing to the next level, Orlando joined Fresh Groove Productions, a well-known dance crew in Vancouver.  Orlando had the incredible opportunity to perform as a backup dancer for singer Capri Everitt at the legendary Apollo Theatre in New York City in February 2020.  His crew competed at the 2022 Canada Hip Hop Championships, winning a gold medal. This victory allowed them to represent Canada at the World Hip Hop Championships, where they led their team to win the coveted bronze medal at the World Finals. His crew competed again the following year, taking 5th place in the world finals.

Once he completed high school, he moved to New Zealand, where he auditioned for and earned a place with Identity Company, an internationally acclaimed hip-hop crew of 40 members. He has since been featured in several shows and international competitions.  With this crew, they won the gold medal at the Pacific qualifiers of the World Dance Crew Championships in Australia in 2024. He also formed a new small crew with some talented dancer friends. Crew 24 consists of nine members who collaborate in creating their choreography. Within a few months of forming, Crew 24 entered the Pacific Qualifiers of the World Dance Crew Championships in Australia in May 2024. They took the gold medal at this competition, securing their place to represent New Zealand in the small crew category in the Finals.

Crew 24 continued its success by competing in another Gold Competition on the Gold Coast, Australia, and again won by defeating the reigning gold medal-winning crew from the World Hip Hop Championships in Phoenix, Arizona.
