World Premiere of Ben Immanuel’s One Man Show: I’m Going Through Some Things

Seventh Cub Collective and Haven Acting Studio are pleased to announce the world premiere of Ben Immanuel’s One Man Show

I’m Going Through Some Things at The Nest, 1398 Cartwright Street, Vancouver,, B.C., from November 19 to November 22, 2026.

I’m Going Through Some Things is a funny, moving, and thought-provoking solo theatre piece about cognitive chaos, emotional baggage, and the challenge of being truly present before time runs out. Says the show’s creator, multiple award-winning actor, writer and director, Ben Immanuel, “This show was conceived while I was cleaning out my storage locker shortly after my 60th birthday. I wrote it as a way to psychically de-clutter my life, thus far, and although the material is deeply personal, I believe the subjects and themes tackled in the show are relatable to a wide and diverse audience. I’ve done my share of theatre over the years, but coming primarily from the world of film, I’m truly thrilled and inspired to be collaborating with this team, including top Canadian theatre creatives Meg Roe and Alessandro Juiliani.”

Production Dramaturg Meg Roe adds, “I am always on the hunt for the authentic and personal in the theatre, for experiences that blur the line between performer and character and provoke audiences in gentle and unusual ways. Ben has written exactly that kind of strange gem, and I’m very excited to be a part of this project.”
