Enderby Entertainment is pleased to announce that the feature film thriller An Ordinary Man will be released On Demand/Digital HD on April 17th, 2018. An Ordinary Man is directed and written by Brad Silberling and is starring Ben Kingsley, Hera Hilmar and Peter Serafinowicz.

An infamous war criminal and former general (Ben Kingsley) spending his life on the run from international authorities is suddenly moved to a new hideout, where he develops a relationship with the maid (Hera Hilmar) that looks after him.  But when he discovers that she is actually an agent hired to protect him, he makes a decision that will drastically change both of their lives.

Ben Kingsley plays the role of The General. After earning an Academy Award, two Golden Globe Awards, and two BAFTA Awards for his riveting portrayal of Indian social leader Mahatma Gandhi, Sir Ben Kingsley has continued to bring unequaled detail and nuance to each role he portrays, remaining a coveted and ubiquitous talent.  Hera Hilmar who takes on the role of Tanja the maid hired to look after the General is fast becoming one of the most sought after talent within film and television. Hailing from Iceland Hera was selected as a European Shooting Star at the Berlin Film festival in 2015 for her lead performance in the drama Life in a Fishbowl. Hera is best known for her portrayal of Vanessa in Starz’s hit historical fantasy, “Da Vinci’S Demons,” starring opposite Tom Riley and Laura Haddock. Later this year, Hera will be seen taking the lead in Peter Jackson’s Mortal Engines.

Director/Producer/Writer Brad Silberling prior features include CITY OF ANGELS starring Meg Ryan and Nicholas Cage, MOONLIGHT MILE, starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Dustin Hoffman and Susan Sarandon; LEMONY SNICKETT’S A SERIES OF UNOFORTUNATE EVENTS, starring Jim Carrey and Meryl Streep; 10 ITEMS OR LESS starring Morgan Freeman, LAND OF THE LOST starring Will Ferrell, as well as his debut film, the family classic CASPER, produced by Steven Spielberg.  In television, his growing stable of hit series include the critically acclaimed comedy “Jane the Virgin” as well as the period drama “Reign”, and the contemporary reboot of 80’s water cooler sensation “Dynasty.”

An Ordinary Man was filmed entirely on location in Belgrade, Serbia, and along the Serbia and Bosnia border, utilizing local talent from the re-emerging Serbian cinema community. Prior to the breakup of Yugoslavia, Serbia’s rich cinematic tradition was renown, and Silberling was able to harness the region’s legendary production designer Miljen Kreka Kljakovic (Delicatessen, Black Cat White Cat) for the task of lending history and authentic textures to the film’s design. Principal photography lasted 25 days on locations throughout Belgrade, and in studio with the construction of the General’s apartment under Kreka’s design

An Ordinary Man will be available on digital platforms on April 17th and DVD/Blu-Ray on June 12th
