Raf Rogers takes on a pivotal role as Yale in the upcoming Hallmark Channel Christmas movie entitled It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas airing on December 22st 2019.  Raf plays the role of Yale, the Mayor of East Riverton’s chief of staff. His character Yale who is fastidious, organized yet a little goofy. Raf joins Eric Mabius (Signed Sealed Delivered, Ugly Betty), Tricia Helfer (Lucifer, Battlestar Galactica), and Viv Leacock (Loudermilk, Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency).

It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas is the story of the towns of East and West Riverton that split up a number of years ago. Long-time rivals Sarah Reed (Tricia Helfer) and Liam Clark (Eric Mabius) are Mayors of the respective communities. Hyper-competitive, the two are always jockeying to outsmart and outmaneuver one another. However, as they do battle to win a crucial Christmas competition that will determine which of their towns will get a desperately needed new factory, they begin to put their differences aside and find that there’s more at stake than just winning — namely, the true spirit of Christmas, and true love — emotions that will transform their lives and the lives of their townships.

Raf is no stranger to Hallmark movies with his recurring role as Ethan in the Hailey Dean Mystery series that star Kellie Martin, Giacomo Baessato and Viv Leacock. Ethan is a computer genius who uses his skills as a hacker to help Hailey in solving her mysteries.

Raf is most proud of his role as Sean Alvaro in the television series Valley of the Boom starring Bradley Whitford, Lamorne Morris and Oliver Cooper. Although his character isn’t based on an historical person, he is a coder that seems to be in over his head at Netscape only to discover that he is the cause of many coding failures in the series.

The TV movie Zodiac: Signs of Destruction was the first time a director gave Raf the room to improvise on set and the first time he was invited to the editing session. He was thrilled to receive accolades from the director, W.D. Hogan, on how funny he is in the role.

Raf realized that he wanted to be an actor when he was entertaining a busload of classmates and strangers on his way to Dorval Airport. He knew then and there that he wanted to spend his life entertaining for a living. Working with talented actors Tricia Helfer and Eric Mabius have inspired Raf to work on his craft.  He has trained with Matthew Harrison, Stella Adler in NYC, UCB in NYC, and Annoyance Theatre in Chicago.

Raf was born in a small town in Brazil and was raised in Ottawa. He now resides in Vancouver, B.C.
