ABOUT IMPERIAL THEATRE

In 2007, after more than a 2.5 million dollar renovation, Oscar nominated film producer Bill Vince (Capote) re-opened the once Golden Harvest theatre as District 319. Gutting the old theatre to its foundation, Bill was able to successfully turn the rundown Chinese theatre into one of the coolest boutique theatres in the city, maybe even the country.

The theatre’s current incarnation, now called the Imperial, is a cross between your typical art-house screening room and a high-end steak house. Its lobby features a full-service bar as a centerpiece to facilitate the fully licensed premises. In addition to its unique design the theatre was renovated to include a state-of-the-art theatre with 35-mm and HD digital projectors, and Dolby THX surround sound.
