Each year TV Personality Todd Talbot creates a unique experience for 100 of Vancouver’s finest gentlemen to join him to raise money for the Covenant House Annual Sleep Out. People are still talking about last year’s event. This year he is going ‘green’ and starting electric engines. Save the date in your calendar, buy a ticket (or 10) and prepare for a wonderful night supporting an incredible organization. As with previous years, you will get a full tax receipt for the ‘ticket’ price and all you have to do is come and drive some vehicles you’ve likely never tried before. Covenant House’s Annual Sleep Out event raises funds to help young people leave the streets and begin a new life. One night a year, community leaders, executives and public figures sleep outside in solidarity facing the same elements and emotional experiences that homeless youth experience on the streets of Vancouver. This is a very humbling and significant experience for any who partake. Last year, Todd slept out for the first time and it was an extremely impactful experience. This eye opening night revealed the incredible challenges many young people face, the help they need, and the work Covenant House does. On November 16th, 2017 Todd is sleeping out again and he has committed to raising a minimum of $15,000 in support of Covenant House. Your ticket to It’s Electra goes directly to meeting Todd’s fundraising goal.
