Another feature film to star Elisabetta is “Havana 57” which describes pre-revolution Havana and was filmed entirely on site in Cuba. Her passion for acting emerges at the age of 5 when she plays dress-up and starts re-enacting scenes from her favorite TV and movie roles. It is at 15 that she is cast as the lead in her first play. That role won her an award for best performance and cemented her will to become an actress.

Elisabetta is excited about her most important and upcoming role as a mother expecting her first child with an estimated due date of July 4th. Just like everything else in her life, she is determined to be the best that she can be, Elisabetta is very health conscious and is having an all-natural pregnancy with a healthy vegetarian diet. The Firefly Girls a Must-See Entry at the Sonoma International Film Festival 2016

Postcard v2 frontSavannah Paige Rae (Parenthood) delivers touching performance with a surprise twist

The 19th annual Sonoma International Film Festival (SIFF) running March 30-April 3 will present a new short by rising filmmaker and LMU graduate, Katie Micay titled The Firefly Girls (Runtime: 11 minutes 18 seconds). The Firefly Girls will screen on Thursday March 31st at 9:30AM @ Vintage House and on Saturday April 2nd at 2:15PM at Veterans Memorial Hall #2.

Will (Mario Schugel) is struggling to move on after his beloved daughter suddenly dies. Stuck in a dark cloud of grief, he spends his time hiding in his house and drinking himself into a stupor. Meanwhile, a young girl from the neighborhood, Gracie (Savannah Paige Rae), is determined to sell the last of her Firefly Girl cookies. So fearless Gracie breaks into his house. Will is caught off-guard and taken aback by this unexpected and unwanted visitor. No matter how hard he tries to get her to leave, Gracie isn’t backing down. Unbeknownst to Will, Gracie is suffering through issues not that different from his own.

Micay worked with writing partner, Kyle Bown, who has worked in television for the better part of a decade. He’s spent time on many shows, including Fringe, The Mentalist, Dark Blue and Moonlight before landing at Pretty Little Liars where he has co-written two episodes and a group of webisodes.

During the writing process, the duo would reference Savannah Paige Rae while watching Parenthood, imagining an actress just like her for the part of Gracie. They were pleased to be able to actually cast her!

“From the start, I knew casting would be crucial,” notes Director Katie Micay. “I needed actors who could be completely raw and vulnerable. I had worked with children in the past but never with a script with this intensity. I knew the child actor would make or break the film. And Mario Schugel was a true find who worked superbly with Savannah. It was a pleasure watching them work together, pushing each other to give 100% in take after take.”

Savannah began her career at the young age of three. Rae’s first television audition was for the hit drama series “House.” You may recognize her as the little girl who stuffed a toy monkey in her dad’s briefcase in the AT&T commercial. Early success continued to follow her and she quickly booked a role, playing the younger version of her real life sister in the film “Phoenix Falling.” Savannah’s next role was Charlotte Foster in the film “Date Night” directed by Shawn Levy, where she played the exuberant and spunky daughter of Steve Carrell and Tina Fey who go on a date night while Leighton Meister plays her babysitter. She is most known for her role as Sydney Graham on NBC’s “Parenthood.” She grew up on the show for the next six seasons. Some of her other credits include “My Best Friend’s Girl” and “Dexter” where she plays young Debra Morgan (Dexter’s Sister) in Showtime’s Emmy award winning drama. Savannah won the 34th Annual Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a Television Series-Leading Young Actress for her work on “Parenthood.” Her most recent role was Winnie on Grey’s Anatomy on a pivotal episode where Derek Shepherd dies.

The Firefly Girls evolved as we were writing it, into a very personal journey for Kyle and me,” notes Director Katie Micay. “It started out as a whimsical fairy tale similar to “Edward Scissorhands” that revolved around a misunderstood man living in the ‘scary’ house all the neighbors avoid. A young girl (who is also an outcast among the kids at school) pushes herself into his house, and world, while selling cookies. Together they bond based on their similarities.”

FullSizeRender[1]About Director Katie Micay
Katie Micay graduated from Loyola Marymount University’s film production program. Her first short film, For Love, created at New York Film Academy’s summer program at age 14, is nearing 4,000 hits on YouTube. Her short film Limited Engagement was an Official Selection for the Los Angeles Women’s International Film Festival and got an Award of Merit at Women’s Independent Film Festival. She also received a nomination for Film Outside The Frame, LMU’s annual student awards and film festival, for her writing. Her second film My So Called Family was an Official Selection for Bel Air Film Festival. Her most recent short film, Flirt, was an Official Selection for the Reality Bytes Film Festival, and she is currently developing it as a feature.

Katie loves to draw from personal experience when creating a story. My So Called Family was a loose, comedic telling of when her great aunt passed away the week of her grandson’s Bar Mitzvah. Don’t worry, this aunt was a stand up comedian and would have enjoyed the film! She and her friend’s experiences in college inspired Flirt. The Firefly Girls started out as a cute, whimsical story but quickly developed into something very personal. It has helped her process the sudden passing of her aunt.

COMEDIAN DARRYL LENOX LAUNCHES ‘THE 20/20 TOUR’ FOLLOWING THE SUCCESS OF ‘BLIND AMBITION’ COMEDY SPECIAL ON STARZ NETWORK

Screen Shot 2016-02-22 at 8.32.49 PMSeth Rogen credits Darryl for influencing his comedy. Appearances on ‘Conan’ and
‘WTF with Marc Maron highlight this In-demand Comedian

The 2016 20/20 Tour kicks off AT LAFFLINES IN NEW WESTMINSTER MARCH 18 & 19TH

In demand American stand-up comic DARRYL LENOX is kicking off a 2016 North American tour this spring called ‘The 20/20 Tour.’ The success of his ‘Blind Ambition’ album and hour-long television special of the same name brought Lenox tremendous exposure and introduced many to his unique ‘insights’ as well as his keen, comedic sense of observation into how we live our lives.

DarrylLenox-SmilingLaunching ‘The 20/20 Tour’ in the Greater Vancouver area is no accident, the city has had a big impact on both his eyesight and his comedy. Not only did he have a risky surgery in Vancouver that helped to restore some of his sight, but he filmed his first feature television special ‘Blind Ambition,’ at the Vogue Theatre, and lived in the city for several years early in his career while honing his stand-up. It was during those years that Lenox met a talented teenager named Seth Rogen, who recently gave credit to Darryl for his start in comedy on the WTF with Marc Maron Podcast: “I remember, this guy named Darryl Lenox he was great, he would do comedy and was a very big supporter of mine and was super friendly to me and would invite me to open for him sometimes when he would do shows. Such a good guy he was the one who told me, ‘you have to write jokes about you, you’re not writing jokes about yourself.’ And it was around then that we started writing “Superbad,” which was literally about all that stuff.”

Since ‘Blind Ambition’ was released on Stand Up! Records, and the television special was picked up by Starz as the first hour-long stand-up special the network had ever aired, Lenox has been featured on an episode of the hit podcast WTF with Marc Maron, and has appeared on ‘Conan’ on TBS to rave reviews. With the launch of ‘The 20/20 Tour,’ several comedy related projects in the works, and more ambition than ever, the vision-impaired comedian shows no signs of slowing down. “I don’t think I’m anywhere near my capabilities. There is so much I want to do. I’ve been at this for a long time, but in many ways, I feel like I’m just getting started.” The Darryl Lenox 20/20 Tour kicks off in Greater Vancouver at Lafflines March 18th & 19th, and also of note, Darryl will be appearing as part of the “Best of The Fest” gala at the Winnipeg Comedy Festival on April 9th. More North American tour dates to be added soon.

Darryl is available for interviews and photographs upon request.

Comedy reviewer Chris Milea took note of that very thing in a review of Blind Ambition, writing, “While introspectioninducing big picture stuff is certainly brought, it must be clear: Lenox is so remarkable in transition and planning that this set is loaded with jokes!”

Critic Ed Placencia recently reviewed Blind Ambition and wrote, “In a world of Michael Baystyle standup comics who rely on explosions and CGI, it’s nice to find a Woody Allen who is more concerned with composition and character.”

Ross Munro and Robert David Duncan star in the feature film “A Legacy of Whining” – a take on Male Mid-Life Crisis

#ALegacyofWhining_EnteringWorld Premiere screening Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Vancity Theatre

Writer/Director/Producer/Actor Ross Munro is pleased to announce that his feature film “A Legacy of Whining” world premiere will screen at the Vancity Theatre at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, April 5th, 2016 in Vancouver. Ron Heaps and Maria Munro are also producers in this fun filled film.

Ross Munro and Robert David Duncan star as two high school friends who get together after many years. The ghosts of both past and present collide as two former high school friends reunite after 30 years and embark on a darkly humorous nocturnal fever dream of a journey where old emotions and resentments bubble to the surface once again. Angie Descalzi, Keilani Elizabeth Rose and Emily Haine (Fargo, Deadpool) join the boys in this hilarious romp.

“A Legacy of Whining” not only throws gasoline on the familiar cinematic trope of male mid-life crisis but also watches gleefully as it sits back and throws a lighted match onto the proceedings. Inspired by its love of early 1970’s American buddy films, this shaggy dog comedy (played out in one desperation-soaked dreamlike evening) tells the tale of two former high school friends, Mitch (Ross Munro) and Dunc (Robert David Duncan) who reunite thirty years later in an attempt to resurrect the faded corpse of their “glory years” only to find, perhaps, that the past ain’t all it’s cracked up to be… “A Legacy of Whining” is really funny!”- The Movie Waffler.com

#ALegacyofWhining_Bordello13A labor of love A Legacy of Whining” was shot in Vancouver, Canada from March to August in 2014 with post-production completed in June 2015. Locations for the film included YVR’s South Terminal, a downtown coffee shop while studio sets and green screen sequences were also constructed and shot at Cineworks Studio in Vancouver as well as Can Am Studios in Burnaby. “A Legacy of Whining” was shot digitally using a Canon 5D camera.

Ross Munro is the Vancouver, BC, based writer/director/actor/ of “A Legacy of Whining” as well as the critically acclaimed feature “Brewster McGee”. His last short documentary “Broken Palace” debuted at last year’s prestigious Vancouver International Film Festival and other festivals. Ross’s creative endeavors include the creation of several feature film scripts as well as having recently trained as an actor under acting coach Frank Cassini and at The Actor’s Foundry in Vancouver.

Ross specializes in creating character-driven, edgy movies with an extreme vision and his influences include a mix of past and current filmmakers like Stanley Kubrick, Rainer Werner Fassbinder, Jim Jarmusch, Luis Bunuel, and PT Anderson to name but a few. Also, 1970’s American buddy movies and comedy greats Monty Python occupy a big inspirational piece of his creative heart. Ross’s wife, Maria, whom he’s been married to for the last seventeen years, is also a cherished producing partner in his film company as well as in life.

Maria Munro grew up in Caracas, Venezuela where she discovered her passion for visual arts and films at a young age. She is an independent film producer based out of Vancouver, BC. In 2014 she produced the short documentary “Broken Palace.” She produced the music video “The Snotty Punks”. Maria served as Producer, Art Director and Costume Designer

“A Legacy of Whining.” Ron Heaps is a graduate of the prestigious Vancouver Film School and was a producer/cinematographer on “Broken Palace” and “A Legacy of Whining.”

Ross, Maria and Ron plan to continue to produce films and grow into a fiercely creative and financially successful production entity with an unwavering mission statement towards the creation of exciting and entertaining independent features, documentaries, and television projects.

When Sonia discovers Jeff’s affair she becomes obsessed in finding out who his mistress is and begins to develop a friendship with Chelsea using a fictitious name. To her surprise she actually likes the young woman she expected to hate, and feels sorry for Chelsea when she tells Sonia that she’s pregnant and that the father (Jeff) wants nothing to do with her or the baby. She also confesses to Sonia that she’s only 17 years old. Sonia files for divorce and becomes an unlikely champion for Chelsea, doing everything she can to prevent Jeff from taking advantage of this young girl. It won’t be as easy as they thought, especially when a dark figure (Rogan Christopher) from Chelsea’s past emerges. Together, Chelsea and Sonia must each face their own truths and team up to fight not only for what’s right, but the life of the baby…

Rogan’s character, Greg Foster, is uneducated and stuck in the poverty trap. He’s angry at the world, and thinks he’s been ripped off his whole life. After robbing a neighborhood convenience store, Chelsea’s eyewitness testimony puts him in prison. While behind bars, his mind is consumed with revenge. On his release, he sets off to hunt Chelsea down, stopping at nothing to make her pay.

Rogan starred as Martin Tate in the feature film “Footsteps” which garnered him the award for Best Performance and the film won Best Picture at the 2012 Mississauga Independent Film Festival. “Footsteps” follows, Martin Tate, a young Afghanistan veteran determined to make his way out of violent and tragic military service after his best friend and bunk-mate’s suicide into peaceful civilian life, while struggling with past addiction demons, his overbearing widower father, and a new-found love.

In 2012 Rogan booked his first recurring role on The CW’s “Nikita” starring Devon Sawa, Peter Outerbridge, and Melinda Clark. Other television series Rogan has appeared include “Bitten,” “Reign,” “Saving Hope,” “XIII: The Series,” and the Battlestar Galactica prequel series, “Caprica.”

Rogan 2Rogan currently has two feature films in development called “Transcendence” and “In The Blood”. Transcendence is a psychological thriller that touches on metaphysics about a widower who is seduced in to a suicide cult. Rogan wrote transcendence and in December 2015 he was selected as one of six producers from across Canada to participate in the Power Pitch Competition at Whistler Film Festival.   In The Blood is a feature film he is developing with Canadian Aboriginal filmmaker Kays Vanderest about a twenty-something whitewashed Indigenous girl reconnecting with her estranged father and a culture she’s never known after a chance encounter on skid row. Both projects are currently closing financing, and will shoot in summer and fall of 2016.

Rogan worked in Corporate Finance and Business Intelligence as an Analyst before moving to New York City to pursue a career in Acting and Filmmaking. He trained in New York City at Sanford Meisner’s prestigious The Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre. He was a recipient of the Peter Armstrong Community excellence award for his contributions to Renascent Addictions Centre in Toronto. Dr. Patrick Smith of Renascent Canada (addictions recovery) is a good friend who Rogan has appeared in PSA’s and stays involved with their efforts as one of Canada’s leading addiction treatment centres.

Rogan was a two-sport athlete at Queen’s University (Canada), lettering in Football and Track & Field. At Queen’s, Chopped Canada host and first Bachelor Canada Brad Smith was a teammate and remains a close friend. Rogan earned a degree in Mathematics and Statistics, followed by a second degree in Applied Economics from Queen’s. He is also a graduate from Central High School in London, Ontario, known nationally for its academics, where he was classmates and friends with Juno Award winning Hip Hop artist, and CBC’s Q host, Shad. During his senior season at Queen’s a career-ending injury derailed his dreams of professional football. Later that year, his close friend and teammate was murdered in a student bar. Both things led him to evaluate what he really wanted to do with his life and everything came back to acting, writing, and his love for the art of storytelling.

Rogan is a home chef and loves to cook. While beginning his acting career in Toronto he worked at various fine dining restaurants. His warm root vegetable and bone marrow salad was published and featured in Canada’s National Post Newspaper.

Rogan is still very competitive in his workouts. He runs as a great way to relieve stress and maintain focus and mental acuity during shoots and between jobs. He incorporates a lot of his knowledge from his sports career into his athletic and dietary regimen. He is an avid golfer with an 8 handicap who has been playing since he was five years old. His favorite teams are the Patriots, Los Angeles Lakers and Toronto Blue Jays. He loves to ski. He now resides now in Vancouver, BC, Canada with his puggle Cito, who is named after Toronto Blue Jays former manager Cito Gaston.

Rogan is available for interview upon request.

Full Blood Moon Entertainment announces distribution deal with Film Marketing Services in Los Angeles for their Indigenous Gothic Horror Film “Bohemian Blood”

Poster ArtThe Four Horsemen of Full Blood Moon Entertainment Inc.(FBM) Gerald Auger, Cam White, Cam Belseth and Michael Bourree, are pleased to announce the completion of their production of the Indigenous Gothic Horror Short Film Bohemian Blood. The Film is lead by the acting of Indigenous Co-writer/Lead, Gerald Auger (Pawnee Killer from Hell on Wheels) alongside Actor/Writer/Director Cam White, who makes his international directorial debut on this no-budget, high demand film.

Filmed in Grande Prairie, Alberta with local cast and crew, what started as a 48hr Film Challenge blew up into something much bigger than anyone could have imagined. Spawning a new film genre (Indigenous Gothic Horror) European and Indigenous Worlds collide in this long awaited counter to the typical clash on film and allow the audience to see an Indigenous person in a horror movie lead role, breaking stereotypes.

Bohemian Blood has signed a world-wide distribution deal with Film Marketing Services out of Los Angeles and within two months has already been accepted into film festivals in; Culver City, CA, Silicon Valley, CA, Marina Del Ray, CA and New York City. Reps were present at the Sundance Film Festival market and will also make an appearance at the Berlin Film Festival Market later this year.

Bohemian Blood, tries to touch on many social issues while forcing the audience to interpret subtle hints of the underlying cultural themes.  The story is about Indigenous Gothic Spiritual leader, The Bohemian Blood Master, who helps his women take back control of their lives by having them deal out punishment to the men who hurt them, and filling the Canvas’ with blood.

‘People are ready for a change and Full Blood Moon Entertainment is going to give it to them’  Actor/Writer/Director Cam White of Bohemian Blood and CEO of FBM.

Full Blood Moon Entertainment (FBM) is a diverse multi-platform company rapidly spreading the concept of Indigenous Gothic Horror, through film, television and new media.  Actor/Writer/Producer/Director Gerald Auger (Hell on Wheels, Strange Empire, Into The West), is the President of FBM and driving force behind it all.  He is supported by company partners (The Four Horsemen) Cam White, Cam Belseth and Michael Bourree.  White is the Companies CEO and Writer/Director while Darkmass Productions owner Cam Belseth leads FBM’s technical team as head of production, and Michael Bourree is Editor and Chief of Post Production.  FBM wants to spread the message of unification to all races and people through an unorthodox means of transportation, Horror Films. This contradiction and the Indigenous gothic spirit of Gerald Auger has caught the public’s interest and intrigue.

Indigenous Gothic Horror Genre, What Is It?
Indigenous Gothic Horror (IGH) is a new genre of horror movie that combines the European and Indigenous worldview through film, television and fashion. It is a form of ancient storytelling that has been passed down through the ages through oral teachings and stories. IGH maintains the authenticity of the Indigenous culture, language and way of life and respects and honours the Ancestry of the Indigenous People of the world. Combining dark colours with land based elements, Indigenous Gothic Horror is considered storytelling with a spiritual twist, and is rapidly gaining momentum and recognition in film, TV, fashion, and other new media worlds.

‘This world is ready for an Indigenous leader/actor in film to be more than Hollywood’s typical John Wayne version of an Indian on a horse wearing buckskin with a feather in his hair. All races of man need to be represented equally in film, television and new media in order to debunk and break stereotypes created by the Western World. We are on the cusp of global change and a collective consciousness of unity, healing and love’ Gerald Auger, President of Full Blood Moon Entertainment and the Bohemian Blood Master in Bohemian Blood.

The short film is the calling card Film for Full Blood Moon Entertainment who plan to corner the new niche market of Indigenous Goth.  FBM currently has multiple film projects at various stages of development and the script for Bohemian Blood is currently getting finalized with plans to be ready for the markets by Spring.

Gerald Auger and Cam White are available for interviews upon request and can be reached at fullbloodmoonentertainment@gmail.com
