Teen actor Hunter Dillon plays Tyler in the new television series Holly Hobbie now airing on Hulu in the US and Family Channel in Canada

Canadian teen actor Hunter Dillon continues to shine with an impressive career booking roles on both feature films and on TV series. This rising star can currently be seen in his leading role on the new TV series Holly Hobbienow airing on Hulu in the US and just released on Family Channel in Canada starting on January 12th, 2019 airing on weekends at 11:30am et/pt. https://www.family.ca/shows/holly-hobbie/

The series follows Holly Hobbie (Ruby Jay) who has lived her whole life in the small town of Collinsville. Holly’s a 13-year-old singer-songwriter who’s got her best friends and close-knit family by her side, but she’s dreaming of ways to save the world – even if it’s starting in her own backyard. Hunter plays a leading role of Tyler Flaherty the middle son of Collinsville’s most powerful family that has been missing in action for a year. No one (except his family) knows what he was up to. Tyler left town a preppy and popular kid and returned darker and edgier – Collinsville’s new rebel without a cause. Tyler is smart and quick-witted. His interests include drawing, photography and tormenting Holly and her friends. Holly’s convinced Tyler isn’t the jerk he pretends to be – is she right?

Another recurring role that Hunter is proud of playing is Caleb on the second season of Fox TV’s The Exorcist along side Brianna Hildebrand and John Cho. The series follows three priests dealing with cases of a demonic presence targeting a family and a foster home. He also enjoyed his recurring role as young Arnold on AMC/Netflix’s television series Dirk Gently Holistic Detective on Season 2 as Detective Dirk Gently investigates cases involving the supernatural.

Born and raised in Vancouver BC, Hunter Dillon is most recognizable for his major series recurring roles above. He has also appeared in Fox’s Wayward Pinesand booked his first acting role portraying a young Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki) on The CW’s Supernatural

Hunter has appeared in several feature films including To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before released in August 2018 playing the role of young Peter Kavinksy in Flashbacks of the lead (Noah Centineo) when he was younger. In 20th Century Fox’s Deadpool 2 starring Ryan Reynolds, he plays the role of Branding Boy, a young boy being branded at the orphanage.

Hunter has been nominated for several awards including The Best Breakthrough Actor for his role in The Exorcist Season 2at the CineAwards and Best Ensemble in a Feature Film forTo All the Boys I’ve Loved Before at the 2018 Joey Awards. Hunter started his acting training at Project Limelight when he was 11 and has remained involved in the community-based program throughout his acting career.  He has also trained with Beatrice King at McIlroy & Associates and at LeBlanc School of Acting. Hunter also loves music and enjoys playing the guitar, singing and songwriting.
