Goodlad Clothing x ‘A Christmas Story’

Cult Classic ‘A Christmas Story’ star Zack Ward (Scut Farkus the bully) will be the guest Barista at Goodlad clothing & coffee in North Vancouver on Saturday, December 21, 2019 to launch a Toy Drive for the North Shore Neighourhood House.

Chances are that most households in North America have watched one of the biggest cult-classic movies in 1983’s A Christmas Story during the holidays. In fact, the Christmas Day television screening at 8:00pm is watched by more households than the Superbowl. 

To celebrate the season North Vancouver’s Goodlad Clothing at 221 West Esplande is pleased to announce that Zack Ward who plays Scut Farkus ‘the bully’ in The Christmas Storywill be in store supporting his good friend Shane Meier on Saturday, December 21stas ‘barista for a day’. Shane, whose role as Clint Eastwood’s son in Unforgiven has known Zack since he played his younger brother 25 years ago in Harvest of the Heart. 

“In the process, Shane became like a younger brother to me. We have been life long friends ever since,” says Zack. “I’ve used my infamy as Scut as a lighting rod to raise money and awareness for bully prevention programs around the country.Scut Farkus has become the Darth Vader of Christmas, a character the fans love to hate. This year I’m coming to Goodlad to support my ‘little brother’ by raising money and toys with a Toy Drive to support the North Shore Neighourhood House.”

Goodlad is an independently owned barbershop, coffee bar, and men’s clothing store. Zack and Shane invite everyone to meet Zack and bring a toy or cash donation for theNorth Shore Neighourhood House, get an autograph and shop for dad’s Christmas gift. 

The man behind the Goodlad concept, Shane Meier, who was also a busy child actor with memorable roles in addition to his role in the Oscar-winning film ‘Unforgiven’, include young Macgyveron TV’s ‘MacGyver’, and roles in Steven King’s ‘Needful Things’, ‘Andre,’ ‘The MatthewShepard Story’, and countless moretv series and feature films.
