Miriam Alden and Donni Rae Edmondson of Alden Rae Jewelry are pleased to announce that they have teamed up with philanthropist Ronnie Negus of the popular reality Slice TV series, “The Real Housewives of Vancouver” to create Remy’s Bracelet in honor of Ronnie’s special needs daughter Remy. In early 2011, Remy experienced a traumatic near-death experience. After hearing Ronnie’s heart-warming story the Alden Rae team were inspired with the idea to create a wrap bracelet in honor of Remy’s strength to give back to BC Children’s Hospital, which has been a huge part of Remy’s life since birth.

REMY’S BRACELET:

Remy and Ronnie met with the Alden Rae team to design the concept. Remy chose the black/navy wrap bracelet from Alden Rae’s Crystal Collection. The coveted signature look of Remy’s Bracelet features a charm (hand picked by Remy) to signify her courage throughout her journey since birth. A second silver plated bracelet was inspired by Ronnie that features a quote with meaning to Ronnie, Remy and their family –“dum vita est, spes est.” – translating to “while there is life, there is hope”. This Latin saying resignates with Ronnie’s commitment to helping children everywhere. The new and unique design to Alden Rae, differing from previous wrap bracelet collections, this bracelet was created to be worn in unison with the navy/black crystal wrap bracelet to complete Remy’s beautiful collection.

Alden Rae wrap bracelets are unisex made from beautiful genuine leather and hand-stitched beading. The crystal wrap bracelet will be available globally online at aldenrae.ca alongside partnering retailers while the silver plated quote bracelet will be exclusive to Alden Rae. Five dollars of every Remy Bracelet sold will go to support the B.C. Children’s Hospital, a foundation close to the Negus family. Alden Rae will make donations to BCCHF monthly.

COMPANY:

Alden Rae is a Vancouver based company founded and operated by two best friends Miriam Alden and Donni Rae Edmondson. Both women are fashion entrepreneurs with growing business’ in Vancouver; Miriam owns and runs a fashion agency (Brunette Showroom) where as Donni owns and operates a boutique chain (Privilege Clothing Boutique) within the Lower Mainland. Alden Rae wrap bracelets are sold in over 170 stores nation wide and worn by celebrities.

While in London, Ronnie Negus and daughter Charley enjoy the company of fashion designers to the Royals, Rich and Famous: Philip Treacy and Stella McCartney

The Promotion People Ronnie Negus

Ronnie Negus returns from spending Spring break on a fashion lovers dream trip to Milan and London, that included a visit to British fashion designers to the Royals, Rich and Famous: Stella McCartney and Philip Treacy. Taking a break from the Slice TV hit reality television series “The Real Housewives of Vancouver”, Ronnie had a chance to indulge in her passion for fashion with two of the world’s leading fashion designers, while giving her daughter Charley an experience that she won’t soon forget.

Some days are so amazing for jetsetter Ronnie that she has to pinch herself: this was one of them! She and Charley spent the morning with good friend Philip Treacy at his design studio where all the magic happens. Charley had fun as Philip spent time showing her how he sketches designs and let her model the costume hat that Madonna wore during her Superbowl performance. As a gift, Philip presented her with a hat that Princess Beatrice wore to the Royal Wedding. No stranger to royalty, Treacy designed Camilla Parker Bowles’s hat for her marriage to Prince Charles, and created hats for 36 guests for the royal wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton. Treacy has released a book that culminates his impeccable designs. The new book brings together life and work of the milliner, with fascinating images from the catwalk – and behind the scenes. “The Royal Wedding”, Treacy says, “reminded people all over the world that hats have always been and still remain an important part of our great historical occasions.”

If that wasn’t exciting enough, Ronnie and Charley spent the afternoon with Stella McCartney on the day before she was honored by the Queen Elisabeth II and received an Order of the British Empire for excellence and service in the fashion industry. Last year, Stella had the honor, along with Adidas, to create the Olympic 2012 outfits for Team Great Britain, a job that involved creating over 500 individual pieces. The mother-daughter duo spent hours with the famed designer. Ronnie was there to help Stella make a decision, when two armed guards arrived at her door with several Cartier diamond broaches for Stella to choose from to wear for her special occasion the next day.

When not dressing Olympians, Stella McCartney’s fashions can be seen on some of the most famous celebrities in the world including: Salma Hayek, Jessica Chastain, Cameron Diaz, Beyonce, Kate Bosworth, Brittany Spears, Alicia Keys, and Emma Roberts, to name just a few.

Ronnie has always put her family first and has watched proudly as her two sons Houston and Jhordan have made impressive connections around the world that have opened doors to celebrities and fashion designers who have since become good friends with Ronnie as well.

A dedicated philanthropist and active supporter of numerous charities, Ronnie remains constantly inspired to help others, stemming from her own experience raising her special needs daughter, Remy. Her special relationship with Remy has also inspired Ronnie to collaborate with her mentor and co-author to write an inspirational book of empowerment and support for families to help teach children compassion. Ronnie sits on the Board of Directors for the BC Centre for Ability and has donated her salary from the “Real Housewives of Vancouver” to the Centre. Ronnie and Remy are currently collaborating with a jewelry designer Alden Rae to create the “Remy Bracelet’ with partial proceeds going to the BC Children’s hospital. She is a new advocate and supporter of dyslexia, as both Ronnie and her son, Houston, thrive, despite this condition, which has never held them back.

Currently developing a skin care line, Ronnie visited Milan and London to research products. As a lifelong advocate of health and wellness, Ronnie encourages others to incorporate proper nutrition and exercise into their lifestyles. An icon of natural beauty, Ronnie has collaborated with the creators of ENZED Nutricorp, to launch Ronnie Negus-endorsed supplements.

When not spending time traveling with her husband of 15 years and their family together, or sharing time and space at their ranch in Napa Valley, California, they value their privacy and time with their children, family and friends.
